What does it Say?

The rights of citizens of the United States to vote shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any state on account of sex.

What does it Mean?

The 19th Amendment was a landmark amendment which took 40 years to ratify. Known as Woman Suffrage, this amendment gave women the right to vote.
