Zoo Designer - Online Game!
Description: Welcome to ZooDesigner. You have been hired to design five enclosures for the animals at a local zoo. You have to use your knowledge of how to calculate area and perimeter to design the correct enclosures and to earn your ZooDesigner Points. Use the blueprint area to sketch out the dimensions (area, perimeter, or area and perimeter) of the enclosure. If you design the enclosures incorrectly, the animals will escape and the zoo visitors will run for their lives. You, of course, will be fired!
Shapes Workshop
Description: Shapes Workshop is an interactive geometry learning program for students in grades 4–7 that combines hands-on exploration, visual demonstrations, creative design tools, and printable practice activities. Students can solve geometry problems involving area, perimeter, circumference, surface area, and volume using 2-D shapes and 3-D objects while viewing labeled diagrams, formulas, and guided demonstrations. The workshop also includes a virtual geoboard for building polygons with colorful rubber bands, a mirror shapes mode for exploring symmetry and reflections, drawing and shape-building tools, and a customizable worksheet generator that creates randomized printable practice pages with optional word problems and answer keys.
Pie Sale on Pie Day - An Area and Circumference Game
Description: Pi Day Pie Sale is a fast-paced math game where students act as pie shop cashiers and price different kinds of pies using π = 3.14 and the correct formula for each pie type. Players measure the pie’s diameter with a movable, expandable ruler, calculate the price with the on-screen calculator, and submit their answer to complete sales and earn revenue. In timed mode, students race the clock to make as many accurate sales as possible, then receive a printable score report at the end.
Moving Day - Online Game!
Description: This fun and challenging game requires students to help movers do their job by calculating the areas or surface areas of the "packages." Formulas and calculator provided. Students can choose to exclude surface area or area. BUGS FIXED.
