Turn the United States ablaze in color, then determine what fraction of the states are each color. Choose from 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, or 8 fractions. Think of the United States as one big whole, and each of its states (regardless of size) as an equal part. Print out a beautiful map with all of the correct fractions when you are finished. Fraction America is a great cross-curricular opportunity for students to integrate their fractions skills with the United States map.
