The Legend of the Breakfast for Lunch Sausage

 
For many years, the society searched for a cold, hidden place where the mammoth meat could be safely stored for hundreds of years. As settlers started moving west from the former colonies through the Wilderness Road, a giant subterranean cave in what is now Kentucky was found to be the most suitable place. Members of the secret society laboriously transferred a portion of what was left of the great feast over the mountains and deposited it deep within the cave. It was said that that their greatest engineers built incredible machines to preserve the meat until it could be discovered in the future by someone worthy of such a find.
