The Coast Range is actually a series of ranges known as the Pacific Cordillera. It extends about 2,000 miles along the west coast of North America from Alaska to Baja California. The Coast Range includes the Cascades Range, the Olympic Mountains, the St. Elias Mountains and others. It also includes numerous icefields. The highest point is Mt. Logan (19,850 feet) in the Yukon Territory of Canada. Numerous American national parks are located within the Coast Range including Redwood, Crater Lake, Olympic and several more.
