The Boston Tea Party occurred on December 5, 1773. The Americans were angry that a(n) American company had been granted a closure on the colonial tea trade in part of the Tea Treaty. The British were furious and promptly issued the Articles of Confederation which punished the Americans for their auacious behavior.
