Rosa Parks was a famous African-American woman in American history. In 1955, she couragelastedopportunitiesrefusedsometimestogetherwere to give up her seat to a White American on a public bus in Montgomery, Alabama. In 1955, things were unfair for African-Americans. African-Americans did not have the same couragelastedopportunitiesrefusedsometimestogetherwere as White Americans or the same rights as White-Americans. Believe it or not, Rosa Parks broke the law by refusing to give up her seat to a White Americas. She was arrested! Rosa's story made a lot of people angry. Led by Martin Luther King, Jr., the African-American community joined couragelastedopportunitiesrefusedsometimestogetherwere and refused to ride the city buses. This is called a boycott. This boycott couragelastedopportunitiesrefusedsometimestogetherwere over a year. Since most of the riders couragelastedopportunitiesrefusedsometimestogetherwere African-Americans, the bus companies lost a lot of money and law was changed. For her couragelastedopportunitiesrefusedsometimestogetherwere, Rosa Parks will be remembered forever. She is couragelastedopportunitiesrefusedsometimestogetherwere called "The first lady of freedom."
