Redwood National Park

Redwood National Park, located in northwestern California, features some of the world’s tallest and oldest trees. The Coast Redwood trees can live to 2,000 years and grow to over 350 feet in height and 22 feet in width. California’s northwest coast is the only place in the world to view Coast Redwoods. The cool, wet climate of the region enables the Redwoods to stay continually damp, even through summer droughts. Scientists believe the trees have existed in the same locale for 20 million years.
