Olympic National Park

Located on the Olympic Peninsula of Washington state, Olympic National Park is a spectacular display of old-growth forests, rugged coastline, temperate rainforests, beautiful lakes, and glacier capped mountains. The Quinault rainforest, located on the western side of the park, is the wettest location in the continental United States. Olympic National Park became an International Biosphere Reserve in 1976, and a World Heritage Park in 1981.
