Lassen Volcanic National Park

Lassen Volcanic National Park, located at the southern terminus of the Casacdes Range, features beautiful forests and crystal lakes that lie atop an active volcanic field. The park is one of the only places in the world that has all four volcano types found on the surface of the earth (plug dome, shield, cinder cone, and strato). Lassen Volcanic National Park also features boiling mud pits, hot springs, and fumaroles. Lassen Peak, the world's largest plug dome volcano, last erupted in 1921.
