Unicorn – The unicorn is usually thought of as a white, horse-like animal with a single, long horn coming from its forehead. It is often described as having magical powers. In medieval Europe, some believed that unicorn horns could purify water and heal sickness. People would actually eat what they thought was unicorn horn powder because they thought it would prevent them from getting sick.

 

Pegasus – Pegasus was a flying white horse with huge wings that came about in ancient Greece. The role of Pegasus was to bring Zeus (the father of Greek gods and goddesses) thunderbolts and lightning. According to myth, springs of water burst forth from the Earth where Pegasus walked. Unlike a unicorn, Pegasus did not have a horn.
