Theodore Roosevelt National Park

Theodore Roosevelt National Park, located in the heart of North Dakota, was named after America’s 26th president, and great advocate of its parks and wilderness, Theodore Roosevelt. The park itself is located in the North Dakota Badlands, where Roosevelt himself maintained a ranch. The colorful, rocky plains were once home to the Sioux Indians and millions of thundering bison. Today, careful measures have been made to preserve the few remaining bison herds in the park.
