In the 1700s and 1800s women did not have the same advantages as men.  Most women becamecouldeveryhoweverthoughuntilwere not own property or go to college. Women becamecouldeveryhoweverthoughuntilwere not even allowed to vote becamecouldeveryhoweverthoughuntilwere 1920!  Elizabeth Blackwell, becamecouldeveryhoweverthoughuntilwere, helped bring about change. In 1847, she became the first woman accepted to an American medical school even becamecouldeveryhoweverthoughuntilwere she was rejected by becamecouldeveryhoweverthoughuntilwere school she applied to except for one! Elizabeth studied hard. In 1849, she graduated first in her class and becamecouldeveryhoweverthoughuntilwere America’s first woman doctor.
