Parents and Teachers: Please note we are making some internal changes to the site. As a result, the Great American Multiplication Challenge, Spellerz!, Burnside's Billions and couple of other games will not show statistics or return save codes for the next few days. They will be playable, but no data will be saved. They should be fully functional again by the end of the week. As always, please support this site by following me on FACEBOOK or TWITTER.

An arm of a sea or ocean, larger than a bay, that extends into land.

What is an Example of a Gulf?

The Gulf of Mexico is a large body of water that extends into North America from the Atlantic Ocean. The Gulf of Mexico covers an area of about 615,000 square miles. Many major cities and resorts were built on the Gulf Coast such as Tampa, New Orleans, Houston, and Veracruz, Mexico. In 2005, Hurricane Katrina barreled into the Gulf of Mexico and destroyed parts of Louisiana and Mississippi.
