Parents and Teachers: Please note we are making some internal changes to the site. As a result, the Great American Multiplication Challenge, Spellerz!, Burnside's Billions and couple of other games will not show statistics or return save codes for the next few days. They will be playable, but no data will be saved. They should be fully functional again by the end of the week. As always, please support this site by following me on FACEBOOK or TWITTER.

What is a Desert?

An arid region with little or no precipitation. An area is considered a desert if it receives ten or less inches of precipitation per year.

What is an Example of a Desert?

The Sahara Desert, the world’s largest hot desert (Antarctica is actually considered a desert), stretches some 3.5 million square miles across northern Africa. It is nearly the size of the entire United States. Like some deserts, the Sahara has several oases. An oasis is an isolated area of vegetation in a desert, usually surrounding a spring or water source.
